AMTC, Day 2

Today was yet another BUSY day...We started early this morning at 8:30 with a seminar, and then straight into Macey's second competition.....She did Commercial this morning....which was really cool...She went into a "studio" and they filmed her commercial audition...The audience was sitting in the Ballroom, and we watched all of the contestants perform on 2 big screens in the ballroom...Macey had been practicing for months now...and she did good....We were so proud of her...She is the first girl in her age group....having a last name of Allen, she is used to that...So this has followed her here to AMTC...She has been the first girl in her age group to perform in three out of three competitions.....Her second competition of the day was Photography....which as many of you know, is one of her strong points....She did phenomenal....She had to walk the runway, and state her name, and age, while they were showing on the Big Screens on both sides of the runway....2 of the pictures that the NY photographer had done....A lot of her friends, from AMTC were here to support her, so she got lots of cheers, and applause....which made her day!!! (cell phone pic before the competition)

And then her last competition of the day was Cold Read....which is where they give her a commercial script 10 minutes before she takes the stage and does a "cold read" audition....She was AWESOME!!! James and I were shocked....We know she is good, but she was the first one to go, and she showed that personality, she moved around the stage, and she even was funny!!! The script they gave her was funny...It was a little sister, talking about her brothers being "wild as monkeys".....If any of you were with us in this Resort....You would see why this is so fitting....The boys are WILD!!! Even Ian....I guess they have had enough of models, and actors, and want some FUN!! Which is definitely coming.....(Surprise for the kids is coming soon!!) In between competitions...we took some pictures around the resort..... Dancing with her little brother.....

Posing for me at the "castle area"

A few other exciting things happened today...We attended a seminar that was led by an agent from NYC...She was very impressive to me...and Macey too...She has placed children in Gap, Children's Place, Justice, and Limited Too ads....Macey was so excited to listen to her....and we actually got the opportunity to speak with her...She spoke with Macey, and told her how beautiful her hair was.....The contestants get the opportunity for callbacks on Sunday...(a chance to interview with some of the agents....) and Macey would love to get a callback with her....Say a prayer....

Lots of competitions, lots of seminars, and education...But we are having a blast....Macey said today, that she LOVES this...and just prays that it is God's will for her life....One thing, that we have done is to pray with Macey before each of her competitions....God's will...Diana, put a verse on one of my comments, that Macey just loved...Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." That says it all....God knows the plans for her life...

Everyone is sacked out...including James....so I am getting off of here...I have another early day tomorrow...Macey has her swimsuit competition tomorrow....at 7pm....We have a couple of seminars tomorrow...but other than that...We plan on spending the day by the pool....The first time, since we have been here..other than an hour or two here and there.....Much love...Miss you guys...God Bless....

Happy 4th of July!!!
