Today we didn't do a whole lot...I say that as I sit here with aching feet...We did more walking than we have in the previous days...simply because the things we had to do today were on opposite sides of the city....Here we are before we headed out....Macey wanted to go shopping at the American Girl Place...So we slept in until around 8am...and then we were off...Our first stop for the day...
This was our view of the Empire State Building as we came out of Macy's...Thought this was a cool picture....
By the time we finished in Macy's...it was almost 6pm...so we were back on the Subway...back to the hotel..so we could get in bed early...because we are rising and shining early in the morning to go to the Today show....Yay!! I hope you guys get to see us on tv...Good night...
Macey had a great time in this store....The boys...not so much...James had promised Macey a gift for her birthday, while we were in NYC...and she chose Josephina, the American Girl Doll...She had a blast looking around in this store, and picking her favorite doll...She also got the book that goes with her...and yes, she is already reading it....
Next, we headed across town to Broadway and 5th for Macey's appointment with Jordan, Gill and Dornbaum Talent...She was asked to go into the office for her interview by herself...She went in with her head high, and did a great job...They asked her to read a script, and did a "interview" with her. (asked her about what she has done in NYC, ect) She did really well, and when Mrs. Dornbaum came out to talk with me, she said that she would definitely want to work with Macey. She said that she had a great commercial face, and would be in contact with us when we come back in June...So, overall outcome of Macey's interviews this week were great!!! We are already making plans for our return trip in June...
As we were leaving, we asked if there was a "good place" to eat in the area, and they pointed us to a small little hamburger place in the park across the street....So we headed there...Great hamburgers, great atmosphere...I think I could be a city girl without a problem...
After lunch, we headed over to Macy's...Just to check it out...We walked around the store, rode the old wooden escalator, and was simply amazed at how big the store was...Unbelievable...Didn't do any serious shopping, but plan on coming back again to do some!!!!This was our view of the Empire State Building as we came out of Macy's...Thought this was a cool picture....

A couple of LP's friends have been to American Girl already. We were going to take her for her birthday, but ended up not making the drive into the city. We have to go soon.
Congratulations to Macey on the good interviews!
