Prayer Request

Ian has the best teachers this year that he has ever had. He loves them. And coming from Ian that is saying a whole lot. It takes alot for him to be interested in school, especially reading. . .His teacher, Mrs. Carroll, is his reading teacher. She has been tutoring him one hour before school for the past month. She sent home the following note yesterday...

"Dear Parents,
It is with a heavy heart that I am writing this letter. I felt that it was very important that you, as a parent, recieve accurate information about an upcoming even that will have an impact upon your child. This Friday, December 7, I will be having surgery and may not be returning to school until sometime in January. It has been determined that I have breast cancer. In order to defeat this disease, I must have the surgery as soon as possible. I realize this comes as a shock to you as it did to me, but this is something that none of us has control over. We carry on and learn valuable lessons of strength and courage and to appreciate every moment. I will truly miss each and every one of you and the joy that I get from teaching and the love that I have for your children. Remember, I will be returning with a newfound strength and energy and the inspiration to push forward.
Please have a wonderful holiday season and know that I am getting stronger each and every day. Bless each one of you until we meet again.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Carroll"
I posted this note, just to ask each one of you to please say a prayer for Mrs. Carroll this Friday as she goes in to have her surgery. She is one of the best teachers Ian has ever had-This news has been difficult for Ian also. He has been praying for her each time we pray. Cancer is hard to understand, especially for a child. But our God is an Awesome God!! He still performs miracles in our lives each day. Thanks for praying.
