Special Friends

I just posted some pictures from a Second Birthday party on my Still Moments Blog....I did this party for some family members of some special friends of ours....Travis and Diana Barr...last weekend....While I was photographing the party...I took the opportunity to take a few pictures of Diana and Brayden....Macey loved getting to see Brayden again....We hadn't seen him since he was born, and couldn't believe how much he had grown....Thought I would share a couple of pics that I took at the party....We love you guys....

Here is a pic of Diana and Brayden...He is just the sweetest little guy....I loved this picture of him...He is precious.....This is Macey's favorite...She loves this picture of her with Diana and Brayden....Macey just couldn't keep her hands off of him...She loves to be around little babies... Macey enjoying some cake with Travis....Macey went with me to this photo session for "mommy support" and she was hoping to get to spend some time with our friends....and she did both well..

"E" is for Easter...It is my second favorite holiday...second only to Christmas...I read this on a Christian parenting website the other day....

In the spirit of my alphabet challenge..."D" is for Dad...This is a picture of me and my dad at Thanksgiving this past year....We hadn't had our picture taken together in quite sometime....Thought this was a pretty good one. Going to keep it simple..

School Party Pics

I worked night shift last night, so I wasn't a big "helper" in the process of the class party, but I DID get up and make it to 2 of them...I didn't get to Ian's because of pure exhaustion...But he understands...I have been to LOTS of his parties in the past...and in the 5th grade--the party isn't near as big a deal...I didn't take my camera either...thought about it, but decided I was just too tired...So I took a couple of pics with my camera phone...thought I would share...Promise this is the last post of the day...James and I have childcare and plan on celebrating Valentine's day together....the first time that has happened in YEARS!!!! =)

Well, just got home from some school parties...The kids had a great time with lots of food, fun, crafts and Valentine's...I decided to make their Valentine cards this year...we chose to make photo cards...and they were a hit...Everyone loved them...Including myself...=) Here is a picture of them....What better way to promote my Still Moments business???
So, as far as the "Alphapbet Challenge" is concerned...Today is "C" is for COOL Cards!!!!

Happy Valentine's Day

I just want to tell everyone Happy Valentine's Day...

Especially to my special Valentine...James....He is a blog reader...mine anyway....He is my best friend in the entire world, and has been for 19 years...That number blows my mind....He is the best husband a girl could ask for, the most wonderful father to my children...He is just one AMAZING guy!! I know I don't tell you enough James....but I couldn't live without you...and I love you more than you know....Happy Valentine's Day....

I know, I know, enough of the mushy stuff....I wanted to post a picture of mine and James' first Valentine's Day together....We had been dating for 6 months....This picture is from Feb. 14, 1990.....I will try to get one of us together today(2008) and post it along with this one...just for comparison =) I don't think we have changed a bit....Do you???? (ha ha ha)

Consider this tribute to "us" your Valentine's gift since we are now on a budget...Love you...(my Financial Peace Friends will get a laugh out of the last statement...)

"B" is for....

Here is my second post in the Alphabet Challenge....so far so good....(2 days into it)

B
"B" is for Bermuda....James and I wanted to go to Bermuda on our honeymoon...but we were young and didn't have the cash to make such a big trip....So, many of you know that I have a mental list of things I want to do....Bermuda is near the top of the list....We would LOVE to go...Hopefully one day, in a few years, we will make the plans to get there....(this is a REAL resort called 9 Beaches--I plan on staying in the one over the water to your left) I had lots of things in mind for the letter B, but chose this one...We are doing Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University--So Budget came to mind....=) but there isn't a good photo to post with that....Books...Bargains(which I love to find)...Burning Calories(which I am getting ready to go and do), Boys (which I have 3 precious ones in my life), BEACH(my favorite place in the world), Baseball(which is getting ready to start), Building(what I would love to be doing to my unfinished garage)....I think you get the idea...my mind was full of ideas...

I read Tara Whitney's blog daily(this is a link to her web site, her blog link is under my blogs I read)...she is one phenomenal photographer...Whom I would LOVE to meet!!!! She is amazing!!! And the theme to her web site is to "Just BE"...which really is a wonderful statement to me....The following is a quote that she has on her web site...

Alphabet Challenge

Ok, I think I am up for this one...I saw this challenge on my blogging friend, Melanie's, blog. So, I decided this would be a fun challenge to attempt...I am going to post a picture for each letter of the alphabet daily...We will see if I can stick to it EVERY day...that I will not guarantee, but I will bravely attempt. =) SO, Here goes!!!

Well, considering that my family's last name is ALLEN...that would of course be the best place to start with my first post of this challenge....and I have the perfect picture.....
This is a picture of the mantle in our den...I bought these pewter alphabet letters at Target (my favorite place to shop!) a few years ago, and had to have them....I saw them in the store and could invision them on my mantle in the midst of our family pictures....and they were Perfect! So, what better post for the letter "A", the Allen family name....Hope everyone finds themselves having a wonderful day!!
